The summer holiday is almost coming to an end, as we are about to enter the last weeks of the summer holiday. Now that almost everyone is back in town, there seems to be a lot going on: special events at the museums, workshops, theatre, educational or active, indoors or outdoors, but most of all; fun!

  • De Parade: From august 9 until august 25, the traveling theater will be in Amsterdam at the Martin Luther King Park. Each afternoon there is an extensive programme for children of all ages: the KidsParade (KinderParade), with numerous theatre shows and activities for children.   • Vondelpark Openlucht Theater: In the summer holidays you can go to a performance in the open air theater every Saturday at 2 p.m. especially for children!   • Uitmarkt: From Friday 23 August to Sunday 25 August it will be one big party on Leidseplein and Museumplein during Uitmarkt 2019! There are shows, workshops, performances and more … https://bit.ly/2KzGOaW
  • Fruittuin van West: Here you can pick your own fruit! A beautiful orchard for trotting or watching very quietly what is happening in and around the fruit tree.   • De Natureluur: From pony rides to canoeing and from wood carving to outdoor cooking. In the first and last week of the holiday there are fun kids activities at De Natureluur! https://www.denatureluur.nl/
  • Jazz in het Dorp (Amstelveen): On September 1st in the Old Village of Amstelveen, the popular event Jazz in het Dorp will take place. Jazz in the Village is a cozy, small-scale, accessible and free jazz festival. Different styles of jazz performed by young jazz talents, Amstelveen artists and regional tastemakers.
